Aidan at QMFM for Balding for Dollars

i was trying to upload the audio i will have to work on it and upload

Aidan along with Alex and Oscar were interviewed to QMFM for a Balding for Dollars broadcast.  The top left image is Dan Mornar and Suzanne Dunbar from Balding.  The team at balding have been a great support group for us.  After the first two weeks that Aidan was diagnosed with Leukemia we were given a list of meds that we had to pick up from the pharmacy.  It was only enough  I think MAYBE a couple of weeks, I had a heart Attack when i saw that it was $400 dollars.  Since I am self employed we don't have a medical plan it was basically straight out of the pocket.  We were admitted for about a month and Paul tried to come up as much as possible, so he bought a parking pass that was another $90.00.  Gas bills and then buying groceries for the hospital or ordering take out because Aidan didn't like the hospital food.
Aidan's school at the time Franklin Elementary had a fundraiser that definitely helped with our financial stress that and of course the emotional support was amazing.  They had a Shavin for Aidan day where a few kids from each grade shaved their heads it was quite the event.  Tomorrow Aidan has a pro D day at this school Chief Maquinna Main but has decided not to take the pro d day as a day off.  Instead he is going to join his old classmates at Franklin Elementary for a day of learning

We found out a few months into treatment about Balding for Dollars, I actually ran into Dan in the lunch room at the clinic and he was this full on  Personable Friendly guy.  He told us about Balding and about an upcoming event at the time which was a day at Mission Race ways.  It is funny how things work out because Bernie Ryan who was hosting the event and also does a lot of fundraising for Balding is the mechanic and friend of Aidan's Uncle Dat.  Dat Louie runs Pacific Riding School and the day that Aidan was diagnosed I remember him mentioning something about a friend of his having some kind of connection to the hospital.  Aidan has benefited from Balding because they have assisted us in paying for one med called ONDANSETRON which is an anti nausea pill.  During the first year he needed it on an ongoing basis but now that he is in maintenance he only needs it when he goes in for a procedure or gets nauseous.  He needs it before and then 8 hours afterwards ongoing until the nausea is gone.  This little pill was 13$ each tablet.   Imagine when he takes it and doesn't feel the greatest and then just throws it up.
Aidan is looking forward to events with Balding and especially Teen Adventures now that he is a TEENAGER
